Find Room Rentals in Malaysia

There are many reasons for a person to want to find a room to rent. Whatever the reason may be, the good thing is there is plenty of rooms for rent here in Malaysia.

Personally, I’ve rented and still renting a place. I’ve rented a RM 700 bungalow room and now a RM 1200 condominium with my friend.

If you’re here to find room rental, then it’s the right place. Just click on the link. The website provides a lot of good and decent information for users to find their required room rental specification. There are nearly 30,000 rooms listed in there.

It has a list of most desired places which most people would like to rent a room at. All you need to do is click on the ‘Rooms’ tab and begin searching for your room specifications or you could just click on the links which are provided at the left of the screen in the ‘Rooms’ tab to filter which location you would desire. Is that simple!

If you’re from the outskirts of Malaysia, I would recommend to search central places like PJ or Damansara. If you’re a student, then obviously you would want to rent somewhere near your campus. Whatever your requirement is, the website is the place to start! Cheers all!

Petaling Jaya - Top Serviced Apartments

Kuala Lumpur, a -city that never sleeps-, and literally next to it is a -city that rarely rests-, Petaling Jaya!
Petaling Jaya is a great place to live it apart from Kuala Lumpur. If fact, for those who loves nature more than concrete jungle, it is meant for you. It's location is central and convenient! because it is right next to KL!

There are tons of Shopping malls in Petaling Jaya and my very own favorite category apart from shopping, is -food-!!

You would definitely want to live in PJ if given an opportunity, I know I would!
Wait.. in fact, I am! and it's been great. If you hadn't found a place to live in PJ yet, then this is the right time for you because there are a few great serviced apartments which are located here in PJ. Furthermore, the places which I'm going to recommend are located really close to a cluster of great Shopping malls. The good news is, you'll be able to witness brilliant fireworks during special occasions right off your window or balcony without needing to go through all the traffic!

Here are some of the top serviced apartments here in PJ, Kota Damansara to be exact!
1) Ritze Perdana
2) Ritze Perdana 2
3) Metropolitan Square
4) Neo Damansara
5) 1 Bukit Utama

If you would like to browse more great places by your own, I recommend you to visit this website: http://www.propwall.my/petaling_jaya

10 most favorable KLCC properties

I’ve been browsing around PropWall these days to have a look at our Malaysia’s advances in architectural design. Compared to what we have 2 to 3 years ago, the design certainly acquired a more contemporary sense. Here I have chosen 10 KLCC properties which I favor:-

1) The Binjai

2) The Troika

3) Pavilion Residences

4) Marc Service Residence

5) K Residence

6) Cendana

7) U-Thant Residence

8) Crown Regency

9) Panorama

10) Setia Sky Residences

You must have a look at it. Just one look and it really instills the desire to live in such residence.  Treat your eyes and mind to the beauty of architectural designs at KLCC Properties.

The Panorama and Setia Sky Residences are definitely a property worth waiting for. The design certainly defines contemporary well with a touch of sleek to it. It’s always  been my dream to one day live in a home of such modernity. Cheers!

Property @ PropWall

I recalled when I was moving out with my friend and we had to search for a property with reasonable price at the same time we wanted to know what’s in for that property, such as facilities, sq. feet, strategic review and people’s opinion.

Most of the time, we would just get the price and a contact number. Which is very limited indeed and as such, we had to allocate a time to travel and search for that place just to have a look at the location, facilities, specs and the type of people who lives there. It is without a doubt a hassle for us as both of us are full-time office workers *ahem, profe-cough-sion-cough-nal* ;-)

I do remember going to websites such as iProperty. Well, it does provide me with certain information and not to say that they aren’t good but I find it not-so-detailed. Example, say I do a search for Dua Residency @ KLCC on this property website. All they provide is, a picture, a brief 1 to 2 paragraph description, short property details and a map *wow, that’s helpful @@*. Honestly… looking at the way they display the description below is more than enough reason for me to redirect myself away from it *so messy*.

However, I’ve came to know about this Malaysia property website called PropWall. The first thing I took notice when I entered the website, is the layout. It is simple, organized and most importantly not confusing @@. The links are well categorized as well which they designed it to be tab-style.

When I search for the same property, Dua Residency @ KLCC, PropWall provides the details to a greater extent, and I do mean greater! As such, PropWall gives me the impression that it ensures the users who visits the website will be well informed of the property which they are searching for.

For the same property which I’ve searched on iProperty, in PropWall, I get a four paragraph description, property details, size in sq. feet for all the type of layouts they have, facilities, a detailed 10 paragraph analysis on how strategic the location is, a classified section and a map. I don’t even need to call the agent ==” or even think of travelling there.

Have a look at Dua Residency @ PropWall for yourself.

If you’re looking for properties and you want a descriptive detail of the property, I suggest you first and foremost head to PropWall instead of wasting your time Google-ing away.

[ASP.NET] IIS Mapping & Fixes

For those of you programmers out there who are chucked to do ASP.NET programming despite the fact that your resume didn't state that you know ASP.NET, and is encountering a problem with ASP.NET. This entry might help you.

I've recently been assigned the company's ex-programmer's ASP.NET project as the programmer has left the company.

Until yesterday, if not mistaken after a Windows update, this problem started giving tons of headache.

If you have ever received an error message on a .NET application that simply stated "Server Application Unavailable" you might find this useful.

The Probable Cause:

Microsoft identified an issue with the MS03-32 Security Update for Internet Explorer security patch and ASP.NET 1.0/2.0 running on Windows XP. This patch can be installed manually or by obtaining recent critical updates from the Windows Update site.

The symptom of this issue is that after installing the patch on a Windows XP machine, all requests to ASP.NET applications running on the local IIS 5.1 web server result in an error message saying "Server Application Unavailable". Requests to remote web servers are unaffected.

This issue only impacts installations running ASP.NET 1.0/2.0 on Windows XP. It does not impact machines running Windows 2000 or Windows Server 2003. It also does not impact machines running Windows XP with ASP.NET 1.1 installed.

Please note that this issue is not a security bug with ASP.NET. It does not open up or allow any malicious attacks against an ASP.NET application or server. Instead, it is purely a functional bug caused by the patch itself.

For my case, I'm running a Microsoft.NET Framework v2.0.50727 along with IIS 5.1.
I tried to "Start Debugging" my project yesterday and all I get was a "Server Application Unavailable" error code.

When I went to check my Event Viewer (Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer) for the error log, I got this:

The Solution:

Download this batch file and run it. The steps:
1) You must be running as an account with Administrator privileges
2) Double click the fixup.cmd.
3) When prompted, enter 1pass@word as the password.
4) If you have previously custom access control settings or database account permissions for the ASPNET account, you'll need to re-apply these settings now.

If you are wondering what does the batch file does, it does the following:
ile does the following:
1) Stops the IIS and ASP.NET state services
2) Deletes and recreates the ASPNET account with a known temporary password
3) Uses the Windows runas command to launch an executable that creates an ASPNET user profile
4) Re-registers ASP.NET. This creates a new random password for the account and applies default ASP.NET access control settings for it
5) Restarts the IIS service

After running the batch file, run the Aspnet_regiis.exe utility:
1) Click Start, and then click Run.
2) In the Open text box, type cmd, and then press ENTER.
3) At the command prompt, type the following, and then press ENTER:
%windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\version\aspnet_regiis.exe -i
In this path, version represents the version number of the .NET Framework that you installed on your server. You must replace this placeholder with the actual version number when you type the command.

Reference: http://www.asp.net/learn/whitepapers/ms03-32-issue/

You can get the version number from your Microsoft.NET Framework directory. For Windows XP it should be located here: "C:\WINDOWS\microsoft.net\framework"

Your problem should be solved by now =) Hope it did helped you out. Cheers!!

[Prototype]

Hey all, I would like to update about my current gaming addiction.
First of all, the game which I am addicted now is called [Prototype] as I've stated in my previous entry.

Why is this game so addictive to me, you may ask.
Well, this game takes place in Manhattan and along with the storyline, you could explore the whole of Manhattan at your leisure as this game is sandbox style.

Best of all is the Parkour skill of the character you're playing.
Jump from rooftop to rooftop, run up a wall or a building, flip and toss yourself around Manhattan while attempting to evade a bunch of military helicopters and missiles.

However, this game is not all about hack and slash. There are times where you have to disguise yourself to infiltrate military installations. Therefore, there's a touch of stealth play in it.

Furthermore, the interesting part is where you gotta gather all of the memories in the Web of Intrigue (WoI from here on). What's the WoI? Well, you play as Alex Mercer who lost his memory after a virus outbreak incident (not gonna spoil anything). Alex Mercer have to consume related NPC to get their memories in order to piece together your lost memories, and you can view it as a video playback.

Here's the gameplay footage in HD (click here to view the normal video if your connection is slow):

P.S.: I forgotten to include body/corpse-surfing. Where you skate along the sidewalk using your victim's body ;)

Current Addiction

My colleague has recently introduced an addictive game to me while we were chatting about anticipated games of 2009.

This game: Prototype -- has totally gotten into me.
It is a free roaming gory zombie human smashing game which will leave a sense of fulfillment and excitement in you.
If you love Devil May Cry, then you'll die for this.

*Just try it*
