It’s been a long time this issue has been lingering in my mind. I’ve been wanting to post a rant about P1, one of our Malaysia’s leading WiMAX provider.

So now, let’s add some salt to the already wounded impression of P1. As I’ve stated in my first rant, during the launch of P1 WiMAX, they gave you a trial period of 2 weeks for us to test out their connection for no fees at all.
It was oh-so-blazing-omgwtfbbq-fast during those 2 weeks even though the signal color was red, when I finally gave the 1-year contract a shot, I regretted it almost immediately. Why? because after the trial period expired, the connection fell from ‘flying-colors’ to a deplorable state of connection which practically spelled out ‘you’re fucked’.
I’ve just tested the packet loss, ping, jitter and speed on Pingtest.net & Speedtest.net, and the result prove that I’ve been chiseled, yup. The results speaks for itself:

Initial test: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Second test: Manila, Philippines

Third test: Houston, United States
*Houston, we have a problem!* it doesn't make any sense. Test result which goes all the way to U.S. is better than local's and Philippines's result.

Last test: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
The fluctuation must be immense.


Speed test: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Ensuing test confirmed that P1 has earned itself a huge F for FAILURE on Pingtest.net.
My verdict: Stick to cabled line such as Streamyx for Malaysia. I know Streamyx, to most, is synonymous with ‘Lousy’. However, considering the options, stability and affordability, it is much better than P1 which is proven to be synonymous with ‘Failure’. Since P1 is promoting their "Cut/Potong Now" campaign, I totally agree to it! Cut away from P1 and get a better service provider! because P1 WiMAX sucks!!
Hope you’ve enjoyed my review and if you’re someone who happened to stumble upon this entry while ‘Googling’ for P1 review before getting one yourself, then I hope this entry had gave you an insight and I strongly suggest you go for Streamyx or you could try the new Amax, at least its much cheaper than P1. Recently I think I’m having a bad luck with computers.

Last week, my laptop were being ‘invaded’ by waves of Blue Screen of Death (BSoD from here on).

I can’t seem to find out the caused of it because it was popping out all the various BSoD, each with a different message.

Its not the two BSoD above, there are more. Above is just an example.

In my search of the caused of the BSoD, I looked into the event viewer and found there’s this error with DCOM. So, I did all I could to disable the relevant component, uninstalled some programs I’ve recently installed and even personally search through the registry to delete certain keys which the uninstalled programs left behind.

However, to no avail, the BSoD are still appearing. Therefore, my friends told me that it could also mean hardware problems and the probable cause is the RAM ==”

True enough, after some process of probability elimination. It was really the RAM… to add salt to the wound, my laptop has two RAM, one piece is 256 and the other is a 1GB RAM.

I was hoping it was the 256MB RAM that is faulty but… due to my shitty luck, it was the 1GB RAM that has to be taken out T_T *sobs*

The worst thing was, I thought it was a virus before finding out that it is really the RAM that’s causing the problem. So, I stupidly reformatted my laptop and reinstalled Windows ==”



After my laptop ordeal, I thought it was over… that I don’t have to face computer problems again… BUT… this week, my office PC that I am using for my programming work the hard drive K.O-ed on me T_T *sobs* how sad…



Therefore, I had to backup my office’s stupid hard drive which crashes like every 10 minutes or so, and face the screen of formatting PC and Windows reinstallation again…

What sucks is that there are so many programs and tools to reinstall… which used up two working days. Actually, I’m partially happy too because I don’t have to do any work during these two days and just reinstalling programs.

After I had Windows installed, I was surfing the web while reinstalling other stuff =P Well, I hope that you readers will have better lucks with computers =) Cheers!!

Everything never goes according to my plan.
What I've planned since few months before today, all went out of route.
Why does life just gotta be so fucked up for me?
Why cant every just follow according to plan?
Everything is FUCKED UP!!

For the past 1 to 2 months, P1 WiMax has been the worst ISP I've ever subscribe to, and finally after some complaints, they've finally made my money worthwhile.

The line has been a total disappointment for the past 2 months and I could barely connect to the Internet and even if I did get connected, the download/upload speed would be like 300/12 on Speedtest.net

Now, after much waiting, finally I get a connection worth paying for, and I do hope this is permanent, not just some temporary speed boost after my complaints!!

I'll be testing the speed for the next few days to determine whether is it a fluctuation or a revolution. Stay tune if you're interested to find out, Cheers~!!









The connection is just getting worse day after day. This shows that P1 WiMax sucks! Since their connection is based on best effort, I think I'm gonna pay my bills based on best effort too!!

Scenario 1:

It's my birthday yesterday.. I took the initiative to organize properly so I could make time to spend it with my beloved Dydy and also my best buddies and my mom's side family.

 

My birthday was on April 14th (Tuesday, yesterday).

So, I spent my time with my dear by staying over at her place on Monday night so that I'm able to celebrate it with her the moment the clock strikes 12am, April 14th.

She was happy, I was happy.

I spent April 14th with her till around 6.45pm before I had to be home to get ready for the dinner which my aunt already pre-arranged for me a week ago.

 

So, I was hoping that my dear would be understanding and be happy on my behalf since she and my aunt have a some complication.

I went out with my aunt, and surprisingly my aunt also invited 3 of my best buddies...

So, for me, I thought that all went well with both sides.

Since after the dinner, I called my dear, she sounds fine to me.

 

However, today is a different story... sighs...

I don't know why, but my dear seems to be in a bad mood.

She then told me that actually she mind that she wasn't invited to the dinner last night and she even called my 3 best buddies names... sighs...

I just don't understand...

If she wants to hate my aunt or whatever, so be it, because my aunt and her really have some complicated misunderstandings...

but why include my 3 best friends? what did they did?

sighs...

I don't know... I might as well do not have a birthday at all...

I should've wished on my birthday that I do not have a birthday.

 

Feel it in my shoes.. feel it. Feel what I am feeling today.

Something which have been bugging me most is my dear's PMS mood swings...

Recently, P1 WiMax had been undergoing service upgrade.
Sounds like good news? well, not for me.
They say they are expanding their coverage area and so I was hoping that they'll finally cover my area but instead... I got this after my upgrade:

Recently, I've been feeling lonely... I do not mean lonely as in literally but emotionally...

I've been in CabalSEA forum recently and there many flame being thrown at me just because I told off some kid that they've went off-topic.

Today during lunch hour, I went back to my home area for lunch.So happen I saw P1 had a stall set up at the side of the road to promote their service at my area.Upon knowing that my area is now under the coverage of P1, I immediately sign up for the 15-days trial period which doesn't require you to pay even a single cent upfront.

Recently... a programmer just resigned from my company...

June 23 '08:

Memoir..

Last night was a very tiring, aching, sticky and smelly (due to excessive sweating =P) night..
I'll start ranting from the moment I entered office~

My boss asked me to un-crumple a roll of paper stream and I looked at her with wide eyes~ because the stream was about 10 meters in length~
but what can I do.. so I started un-crumpling the stream~ It took me two whole hours to do it =.="

Then there's practically nothing to do other than waiting for the delivery van workers to come to transfer the Skin Food props to MidValley~
After the van workers came, I hang around the office for awhile to wait for my boss and colleagues for dinner~
After dinner me and Daniel went to 1U to waste some time at the arcade while waiting for 10.30, so that we could fetch our boss and head to MidValley to do the display setup which is in the North Court~

We started to place and decorate the display case with the props we brought and with the products the client brought~
It took us a whole four hours, from 11.30pm till 3.30am to finish it with a satisfying outcome for the client~
Actually we could be done with it fast if it's not for the client~
"oh, it's too dull", "it's too cluttered", "it's too empty", "it's this", "it's that"~ Pay so little wanna request so much~ bunch of kiam siap ppl~

During the process of decorating the display case~
There's this weird space-like sound coming from the inside of MidValley but dunno where is it from~
So when my boss and the clients went out for a smoke, I went to look around for the sound, and I found it =P it's actually the palm reading machine thing~
So I just switch it off and peace at last =P

Sigh~ lately I've been emo (being emotional)..
There's been a lot happening lately & most of them sux..
My office was broken in last week, & a few days later,
my house was broken in.. wonder if it was da same knn mcb mch asshole..
If that wasn't enuf to top da limit of my emo-ness..

A girl, who is da only closest friend who is a girl to me is avoiding me..
long story.. maybe it was due to proposal overdose =P
I'll juz reveal da latest event, bcoz da story is too long..
I've liked her for quite a long time, & I've proposed to her once or twice..
Then one sweet night, she sms-ed me around 3am in da morning &
told me wat if she told me that she has feelings for me..
wtf?! of coz I was happy n @ da same time nervous..
Maybe wat I said scare her off..
It was nothing really.. I juz replied her I hav feelings for her too..
but there was no reply from her after dat..
nothing's wrong rite??

Few weeks later, we chatted on msn & somehow, we got to da
"feelings" topic & she said something dat really hurt me..
She said something like "She like to be single for a while & she only treats me as a close fren"..
I was like "wtf?! then wat was wif all those i've feelings for you talk about??" to test me? or mess around wif me?
If dat was enuf to hurt me & confuse me, she wrote a vague shoutout in her friendster saying "Don't giv me hope if there's none.."
Although she didn't say who was dat shoutout aiming to, but I got a feeling it was targeted rite @ my direction..
I was like, "wtf?! dat's my line!!" She was da one giving me hope sending me dat sms saying wat if she said if she has feelings for me.

I was so hurt @ dat moment that I told her dis "Yea, I treat u as my close fren too & maybe it's best we remain dis way"..
I was so pissed off, I didn't contact her from then on..
6 months later, which leads us to dis post's date..
I still miss her.. I feel dat I muz clear things & tell her my feelings for her although there's a chance dat she might not accept it..

Da only good thing so far since year 2008 started was da parties, da outtings, da new iPod & iMac, & I've been asked to submit my resume to try out for da MYC! cover model =P
Dat's good since I wanna enlarge my circle of frens. Rite Mart??

You can't use an iPod Nano 3rd Generation unless you have iTunes 7.4 or above AND a Mac OS X 10.4.8 and above!!

Bloody hell!! WTF??!!
Do you know how expensive is an iPod??
It should be backward compatible!!
I mean it's just transferring damn songs to the iPod!!
Why do we need such updated OS for??
Is it because older version of Mac OS are so stupid till they need an upgrade just to transfer songs to a bloody player??!!
