When it comes to leather goodies, nothing comes close to Louis Vuitton.
They make and spell l.e.a.t.h.e.r the way it should be~
Let's not bore you further with my words. The pictures shall speak for itself *winks*
Leathery Amour, Anyone?
with Me, there is always Food!!
Omg, it's Friday... and I've started to miss this place already. Actually, I've started to miss since Wednesday..
Looks like it's true that time really flies when you're having a good time.
For me, it just too fricking fast!
Continuing after my previous post. After the CSI exhibition, mice and I went straight home because the rain doesn't seem like it wants to stop anytime soon.
Once home, mice started preparing dinner. Which I'm very anxious to try it out! since she says that she doesn't know how to cook and only knows how to prepare a few dishes.
Of course, I helped out too with the Chinese-sausage skin peeling, the egg breaking, food tasting and supervising, so she doesn't not overdose the rice with soy sauce, Lol! *believe me, she tried to*
Nope, no picture(s) of the chef in action will be uploaded because I do not have a death wish =P
Later that night after the scrumptious dinner prepared by mice, we went to catch the Green Hornet.
It was kinda odd that they chose Seth Rogen to play the role of Green Hornet because he's more of a lame comedy guy to me. Overall, it was a good flick though.
After the movie, we went to grab some sinful delights from McCafe, which I think mine was more sinful due to the 8 pieces of marshmallow that came with it (upon my request)~ *we call it marshpotatoes btw*
Well, that covers the weekend. Starting Monday, I commute to work with mice in order to experience the early morning bustle that she goes through with during workdays.
I couldn't comment much because I had her for company, all other external influences seems.. insignificant to me or rather I couldn't be bothered.
After seeing her off to her workplace, I went ahead to get myself comfortable at the Starbucks nearby and got myself a Starbucks breakfast set which is something called the Chicken Sausage, Omelette and Cheese. It comes with a tall freshly brewed coffee too.
Without noticing the time, it was already time for lunch.
Headed to the nearby Korean Restaurant to get a seat first while waiting for mice to join me.
I ordered mine first and I have to apologize.. because I was too hungry~ before I knew it, I was done with my food before the thought of snapping a few pictures of it landed on my mind..
Mice ordered this delicious looking spicy Korean noodle which teased my appetite again.. Although I didn't went for second round..
After lunch, I head back to Starbucks for round two. What can I say, it's tempting, and it's coffee!!
It was practically pouring the whole day and didn't really paid much attention at the time because the sky was kinda dark since morning.
However, I have to note that Singapore is indeed much more safer compared to Malaysia.
I could leave my laptop at Starbucks and go somewhere else to get some stuff and I do not feel worry at all. Hey, +1 to sense of security in Singapore!
Well, before long, it was time to meet up with mice for dinner and movie.
We went straight to Vivo to catch Season of the Witch.
Had a little time to spare before the movie, so we went to indulge ourselves with chocolate by the bald man at Max Brenner.
It was actually founded by two person called Max Ficthman and Oded Brenner. Although I have no idea which one of them is the bald one, or perhaps both of them are.
Still, they make good chocolate!! Therefore, it doesn't matter even both of them aren't bald~
After the movie, we went straight home and called it a day.
It was great and will be writing up for Tuesday and Wednesday soon!
For now, enjoy your holidays and Happy Chinese New Year to all my readers! Cheers!
of Enjoyable moments and rainy days
It's my third day here in Singapore for the Chinese New Year '11 week.
If you're wondering what's with the "...and rainy days", it is because it has been a non-stop downpour ever since the start of my trip. Like seriously, 3 days in a row.
However, the rain didn't dampen the experience of my trip here.
The first day was awesome and was greeted with lots of local foods to satisfy my huge appetite.
Met up with my friends for dinner and we really had it to the limit.
One of my friend mistakenly ordered 10 chicken wings when he was only told to order 4, lol! because 4 and 10 sounds almost the same in Chinese.
Just a short update
Feeling tired today after last night company's dinner.
Drank quite a few glasses of wine because my colleague kept asking me to drink.
Was not drunk but was damn sleepy.
This morning woke up with a head-load of migraine but tried to be okay.
Till now my head still hurts, and yes, I am still very sleepy.
Managed to pull myself though the day because of someone =)
Anyway, think I gotta stay back a little more to finish up my work.
Tomorrow is my last day before my long CNY break after all.
Can't wait for Saturday! Might feel sick right now but still can't help but feeling happy about Saturday.
Well, gonna sign off here. Hope you readers had a great week, cheers!
P.S. Expect lots of pictures of my holiday soon~ that is if I'm not too lazy to blog..
Singapore Real Estate Portal
Recently, I've been made known of a new online web portal by Propwall.
It is a property and real estate website which helps users perform searches on properties based on their criteria such as location and price range.
This time around, Propwall have created a portal for searching Singapore Property. The web portal has a clean and neat layout which new users will find it easy to navigate around.
As you can see from the screenshot. There are several 'tabs' on the page which enables users to navigate easily around the portal.
The tabs above are as follows, Home, Singapore, Classifieds, Photos, Answers and Maps.
You'd probably already have an idea about what each tab does.
In the Singapore tab, you'll be able to see a list of properties which you're then able to filter to view only specific properties such as condominiums, house, office and etc. While in the Singapore tab, you're also able to filter out properties by Districts which are listed on the left sidebar.
The Classified tab, would allow you to view the properties for sale posted by registered advertisers with price stated and also the description of the property, such as the size of the property in square feet, number of rooms and etc.
Photos and Answer is basically not much to explain about. In the Photos tab, you're able to view various property pictures if available, while the Answer tab is for users to post any questions regarding certain property and the advertisers might answer if they sees it.
The Map function however, is an interesting tool. It will launch google map displaying the entire map of Singapore with miniature symbols of condominiums that represents available properties. In my opinion, the tool is very convenient and perhaps will hasten the search for properties if you already have a certain location in mind.
Also do note that more features are available if the user registers for an account. All in all, Propwall Singapore has designed a website which is user friendly and non-messy which to my experience, many other property websites failed to achieve.
2011, A Good Start Hopefully
Apart from the ads, it's been a long time since I've wrote an entry for myself.
Well, to start where I dropped off, there were many pleasant and unpleasant events last year.
However, it's the past and now for a new beginning.
Last year during August, I've finally gotten over a huge obstacle of mine, which I am glad that it is finally over.
It was a problem which really burdened me a lot and made me unsure of myself.
Nevertheless, the burden is now gone. I felt really free and happy. It was a sense of relief I haven't felt in a very long time.
I realized my job performance improved after letting go of that burden. Went back to online gaming during my free time which I am glad because it paved a way back to my old friend Kev, and we picked up from there.
From then on, we've been meeting up for dinner and drinks which I am glad that I was given a chance to repair our friendship. Not to mention I had more times for my other three friends too, Daniel, Jeremy and Bosely.
Then apart from my friends, I made some new friends too.
They came down to Malaysia during Christmas to visit Kevin, me and also another friend, Mint.
It was a great Christmas, well to me at least, compared to my past Christmases.
2011's New Year was spectacular for me, like totally awesome. Well, not giving much details but all I can say is it was just really wonderful =) Work wise, I've just had my appraisal and gonna get my bonus this month. I hope it'll be a fat and juicy one =P *who doesn't hope for that huh?*
Definitely hoping that this year would be a great one, I'm sure everyone wishes that too. It's all in our hands, just have to work hard for it, Cheers All!!
Top Car Website in Malaysia
Recently, I was looking around for cars.
Lol, not those looking around at cars but me wanting to buy a car.
It's about time for a 23 year old working guy to get a car of his own, don't you think?
I've been scouting around but some car dealers are quite stuck-up, if you know what I mean.
I walked into most showrooms and the salesman would give a me "can-you-afford-it" look.
Well, if they have that kind of attitude, then sorry, they will not have my business.
I mean, if I can't afford a car, why would I go and look for one, right?
So I was telling my friend about my car search experience and he told me, why the hassle?
He recommended me a website with a comprehensive Malaysia cars catalogue in it.
For me, it was so convenient. At least I do not have to face some crappy attitude.
This website contains over 1,400 cars which are available in Malaysia.
Like I've said, it is comprehensive and also a user-friendly website.
The website is simple with a categorized car manufacturer menu at the side to allow faster searching.
Users are also able to filter which area/state they are looking for cars in.
Additionally, people who wishes to sell off their car, they could register with them and post their car advertisement on the website.
For those who are looking to buy a car, like me.
If I would like to know more about the car, all I have to do is click on the "more info" link at the bottom right of the car which I find to my liking, and I would be brought to a page which contains a more detailed info of the selected car.
Here are a few screenshot of the website:
Note: Click on the picture to view a larger version.
The website even have a Facebook page to allow users who have a Facebook account to keep themselves up-to-date with the latest happenings.
Find Room Rentals in Malaysia
There are many reasons for a person to want to find a room to rent. Whatever the reason may be, the good thing is there is plenty of rooms for rent here in Malaysia.
Personally, I’ve rented and still renting a place. I’ve rented a RM 700 bungalow room and now a RM 1200 condominium with my friend.
If you’re here to find room rental, then it’s the right place. Just click on the link. The website provides a lot of good and decent information for users to find their required room rental specification. There are nearly 30,000 rooms listed in there.
It has a list of most desired places which most people would like to rent a room at. All you need to do is click on the ‘Rooms’ tab and begin searching for your room specifications or you could just click on the links which are provided at the left of the screen in the ‘Rooms’ tab to filter which location you would desire. Is that simple!
If you’re from the outskirts of Malaysia, I would recommend to search central places like PJ or Damansara. If you’re a student, then obviously you would want to rent somewhere near your campus. Whatever your requirement is, the website is the place to start! Cheers all!
New Prospects
It's been 3 months since I joined Panasonic and things had turned out to be great.
[ASP.NET] [C#] Switching MasterPage Dynamically
Have you ever wanted to changed a MasterPage of an ASPX webpage dynamically when your website is running? Well, I’ve recently encountered this problem myself too and found a solution to it. So without further ado, I present the solution to you!
First go to your code-behind page of the .aspx page which you wish to have its MasterPage changed dynamically. Let’s say for example, you want your example01.aspx to change its MasterPage dynamically, you have to open the example01.aspx.cs page.
Ok here’s the step-by-step walkthrough.
Step 01:
Enter the following code below at anywhere in the public partial class section
Code:
protected void Page_PreInit(object sender, EventsArgs e)
{
}
Explanation:
The MasterPage needs to be defined before the .aspx page is initialized. In simpler terms, without the MasterPage predefined before the .aspx initialized, the .aspx page have no where to be loaded to, because webpages of website which utilizes MasterPage normally and most certainly requires a ContentPlaceHolder for it to be loaded into.
Step 02:
Enter the following code in the Page_PreInit body
Code:
MasterPageFile = “YourMasterPage.Master”;
Step 03 (optional):
Incorporate conditions with the code. What’s the point of changing MasterPage dynamically if there’s no conditions in the first place, right? The fact that we want to dynamically switch MasterPages, there has to be a condition. Therefore, incorporate them!
In my case, I determine the user type. If the user who logs in is an admin for example, I will display a MasterPage for admins, if its a user, I’ll display a MasterPage for users.
The code should look something like this:
protected void Page_PreInit(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
string redirect_from = ((string)Request.QueryString["redirectedfrom"]);if (redirect_from == "staff")
{
MasterPageFile = "~/MasterPage/StaffMaster.master";
}
else
{
MasterPageFile = "~/MasterPage/AdminMaster.Master";
}
}
The code above shows the way I incorporated conditions to the code which triggers it to switch MasterPage if a certain user type logs in. If you’re wondering what’s with the “~/MasterPage/”, it is because I stored all my pages in their respective folders and my MasterPages are stored in a folder named MasterPage.
