10 most favorable KLCC properties

I’ve been browsing around PropWall these days to have a look at our Malaysia’s advances in architectural design. Compared to what we have 2 to 3 years ago, the design certainly acquired a more contemporary sense. Here I have chosen 10 KLCC properties which I favor:-

1) The Binjai

2) The Troika

3) Pavilion Residences

4) Marc Service Residence

5) K Residence

6) Cendana

7) U-Thant Residence

8) Crown Regency

9) Panorama

10) Setia Sky Residences

You must have a look at it. Just one look and it really instills the desire to live in such residence.  Treat your eyes and mind to the beauty of architectural designs at KLCC Properties.

The Panorama and Setia Sky Residences are definitely a property worth waiting for. The design certainly defines contemporary well with a touch of sleek to it. It’s always  been my dream to one day live in a home of such modernity. Cheers!

Cognizant

2012, a graphic intensive movie which with good sound system will leave a good dose of after-effect of deep thought in you. After the movie or rather, after most End-of-World themed movies, I would always wonder which date will the End-of-Days fall on. It’ll be really ironic if it falls on 1st of January.

By the way, 2012 has nothing to do with environmental pollution or stuff like that, it is caused by an external factor called the ‘largest solar flare in human history’ which causes a domino effect. First, is the core of the Earth heating up like oven, then caused the slow melting of the Earth’s crust from within, which triggers the crust to be ‘soft’ and hence, collapse.

In layman term, take a cookie (Earth’s crust), place it flat afloat in hot milk  (Earth’s core/mantle layer) which was initially just a warm milk, then you’ll see the cookie crumble =)

I like to observe, literally. Observing always trigger thoughts to circulate in my mind. It intrigues me to observe the behavior and reaction of the people who are within my range of sight.

Every morning, I would leave my condo with my friend when he drops me to work. I would always take notice of the foreign workers who will always be walking alongside of the sidewalk to wherever their destination is. I would look at the traffic policemen, the drivers who are traversing from point A to point B, listen the radio casts who are talking. At the end of all that thinking, I know that all of us are –just people- insignificantly small in the eyes of our world leaders. To them, we’re just like seeds used to sow their fragrant economy.

The only part which I think is real in most 2012-like movies, is the part where if the End-of-Days is here and there’s an –Ark- we wouldn’t be worthy enough to be saved because we’re no one special and as said, insignificant. Those who will be included for salvation are the Top Notch in their fields such as Astrophysicists, Cosmologist, Biochemist and etc etc, and I don’t mean sports.

Foreseeable, are those illiterate group of people will be those running around shouting retarded remarks, creating chaos and reaping whatever that is within their reach. Ignorant who are easily fooled by government composed news will meet their makers too. Sad to say, but if sufficient common sense if applied, you’ll know what I mean.

It’s a sad scenario. However, if you’re non-religious, the most practical way to salvation is to be an Ace in your field and hope the government will include you in whichever self-preservation plan they’ve cooked up. On the other hand, if you’re religious, then all you have to do is believe in your Savior.

Xenogears Money Hack

To all Xenogears fans.
This my guide to hack Xenogears on PSX PC Emulator ONLY.
First you'll need Cheat Engine: Cheat Engine 5.5

This will spoil the whole point of the game. However, to those who've completed this game countless times and just want to have some fun without the hassle of earning G in Xenogears, like me =). Then this cheat is catered for you.

1.0) First save the game using the memory cube (NOTE: saving using gamestate could corrupt the game)
1.1) Go to the nearest shop in the game and don't do anything.

2.0) Start Cheat Engine and search for the PSX Emulator process (e.g. I'm using ePSXe, so search for ePSXe.exe).

2.1) Press the 'Square' button to check how much G you have currently.
2.2) Pull up Cheat Engine, then enter the amount into the 'Value' box.
2.3) Change 'Value Type' to 'All (Byte to Double)'.
2.4) Tick 'Also scan read-only memory'.
2.5) Then click 'First Scan'.

3.0) You'll get lots of addresses at the left side panel.

3.1) Now, return to game, talk to the shopkeeper and buy something to change the current G value you have.
3.2) Return to Cheat Engine, enter the new G value into the 'Value' textbox.
3.3) Then click on 'Next Scan'.

4.0) You'll then see 3 obvious addresses of the amount of G you have.
4.1) Double-click on the 3 address to move them to the panel below.
4.2) Then mouse your mouse on the 'value' section of the address below, double-click it.
4.3) Enter a few 9's in the textbox to raise the value, click 'OK'.
4.4) Now return to the game, press 'Square' again to open the character windows. Your amount of G will then change to the new value.

- Don't close Cheat Engine, just minimize it. When your G is low, just repeat steps 4.2 to 4.4.

Hope you've found my guide useful. Although this is not as good as Gameshark for Emulator but at least it still gives you enough G to buy stuff and replenish it =) Cheers!!

Going with the flow

I’ve come to a point where I think it is best for me to leave certain aspects of my life to just follow the flow of nature and let it take it’s own course.

I’m tired of having to teach certain person about attitude and behavior. It is without a doubt that making effort to teach something to a person who doesn’t want to listen or learn is indeed futile. Additionally, I’ll eventually stress myself because I would normally keep trying if I’m being opposed to.

However, I cannot deny the fact that it is useless trying any further because I know and it is obvious that the person I used to be happy with has changed and will not turn back...

Like the old saying goes “What is meant to be, will be”. I shall not debate or argue any further.

Property @ PropWall

I recalled when I was moving out with my friend and we had to search for a property with reasonable price at the same time we wanted to know what’s in for that property, such as facilities, sq. feet, strategic review and people’s opinion.

Most of the time, we would just get the price and a contact number. Which is very limited indeed and as such, we had to allocate a time to travel and search for that place just to have a look at the location, facilities, specs and the type of people who lives there. It is without a doubt a hassle for us as both of us are full-time office workers *ahem, profe-cough-sion-cough-nal* ;-)

I do remember going to websites such as iProperty. Well, it does provide me with certain information and not to say that they aren’t good but I find it not-so-detailed. Example, say I do a search for Dua Residency @ KLCC on this property website. All they provide is, a picture, a brief 1 to 2 paragraph description, short property details and a map *wow, that’s helpful @@*. Honestly… looking at the way they display the description below is more than enough reason for me to redirect myself away from it *so messy*.

However, I’ve came to know about this Malaysia property website called PropWall. The first thing I took notice when I entered the website, is the layout. It is simple, organized and most importantly not confusing @@. The links are well categorized as well which they designed it to be tab-style.

When I search for the same property, Dua Residency @ KLCC, PropWall provides the details to a greater extent, and I do mean greater! As such, PropWall gives me the impression that it ensures the users who visits the website will be well informed of the property which they are searching for.

For the same property which I’ve searched on iProperty, in PropWall, I get a four paragraph description, property details, size in sq. feet for all the type of layouts they have, facilities, a detailed 10 paragraph analysis on how strategic the location is, a classified section and a map. I don’t even need to call the agent ==” or even think of travelling there.

Have a look at Dua Residency @ PropWall for yourself.

If you’re looking for properties and you want a descriptive detail of the property, I suggest you first and foremost head to PropWall instead of wasting your time Google-ing away.

P1 WiMax Hits The Wall

It’s been a long time this issue has been lingering in my mind. I’ve been wanting to post a rant about P1, one of our Malaysia’s leading WiMAX provider.
If you haven’t already read my first rant about P1, then I suggest you do. Here’s the link: P1 WiMax
So now, let’s add some salt to the already wounded impression of P1. As I’ve stated in my first rant, during the launch of P1 WiMAX, they gave you a trial period of 2 weeks for us to test out their connection for no fees at all.
It was oh-so-blazing-omgwtfbbq-fast during those 2 weeks even though the signal color was red, when I finally gave the 1-year contract a shot, I regretted it almost immediately. Why? because after the trial period expired, the connection fell from ‘flying-colors’ to a deplorable state of connection which practically spelled out ‘you’re fucked’.
I’ve just tested the packet loss, ping, jitter and speed on Pingtest.net & Speedtest.net, and the result prove that I’ve been chiseled, yup. The results speaks for itself:

Initial test: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Second test: Manila, Philippines

Third test: Houston, United States
*Houston, we have a problem!* it doesn't make any sense. Test result which goes all the way to U.S. is better than local's and Philippines's result.

Last test: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
The fluctuation must be immense.

Speed test: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Ensuing test confirmed that P1 has earned itself a huge F for FAILURE on Pingtest.net.
My verdict: Stick to cabled line such as Streamyx for Malaysia. I know Streamyx, to most, is synonymous with ‘Lousy’. However, considering the options, stability and affordability, it is much better than P1 which is proven to be synonymous with ‘Failure’. Since P1 is promoting their "Cut/Potong Now" campaign, I totally agree to it! Cut away from P1 and get a better service provider! because P1 WiMAX sucks!!
Hope you’ve enjoyed my review and if you’re someone who happened to stumble upon this entry while ‘Googling’ for P1 review before getting one yourself, then I hope this entry had gave you an insight and I strongly suggest you go for Streamyx or you could try the new Amax, at least its much cheaper than P1. Cheers!

Computer Havoc

Recently I think I’m having a bad luck with computers.

Last week, my laptop were being ‘invaded’ by waves of Blue Screen of Death (BSoD from here on).

I can’t seem to find out the caused of it because it was popping out all the various BSoD, each with a different message.

Its not the two BSoD above, there are more. Above is just an example.

In my search of the caused of the BSoD, I looked into the event viewer and found there’s this error with DCOM. So, I did all I could to disable the relevant component, uninstalled some programs I’ve recently installed and even personally search through the registry to delete certain keys which the uninstalled programs left behind.

However, to no avail, the BSoD are still appearing. Therefore, my friends told me that it could also mean hardware problems and the probable cause is the RAM ==”

True enough, after some process of probability elimination. It was really the RAM… to add salt to the wound, my laptop has two RAM, one piece is 256 and the other is a 1GB RAM.

I was hoping it was the 256MB RAM that is faulty but… due to my shitty luck, it was the 1GB RAM that has to be taken out T_T *sobs*

The worst thing was, I thought it was a virus before finding out that it is really the RAM that’s causing the problem. So, I stupidly reformatted my laptop and reinstalled Windows ==”

After my laptop ordeal, I thought it was over… that I don’t have to face computer problems again… BUT… this week, my office PC that I am using for my programming work the hard drive K.O-ed on me T_T *sobs* how sad…

Therefore, I had to backup my office’s stupid hard drive which crashes like every 10 minutes or so, and face the screen of formatting PC and Windows reinstallation again…

What sucks is that there are so many programs and tools to reinstall… which used up two working days. Actually, I’m partially happy too because I don’t have to do any work during these two days and just reinstalling programs.

After I had Windows installed, I was surfing the web while reinstalling other stuff =P Well, I hope that you readers will have better lucks with computers =) Cheers!!

Future Tech

Dear readers,

Here I unveil the PS4!!

The Playstation 4 concept was inspired by the massive popularity of its previous versions, while featuring much more functionalities than any other versions of playstation users have encountered.

The first notable feature is the cool, transparent appearance of both the joysticks and the main unit. The transparent area of both elements comprises touch buttons for operating the device and the glossy black round compartment is to place the discs of your choice.

Playstation 4 will give the gamer a unique cable-free gaming experience with its Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity. Moreover, the transparent display of the main unit can show thumbnails of different part of a disc and allow the user to select a part by simply touching the respective thumbnail.

Next, I present you an effing cool design concept by BMW for its future vehicles!!

The Vision EfficientDynamics is a concept vehicle for future by BMW which is a low carbon hybrid supercar aiming to achieve the premium end of the auto market with its fuel-efficient design. A three-cylinder turbodiesel engine is empowering this vehicle supported by a couple of electric motors.

This car can go 0-100 kilometers per hour in just 4.8 seconds with a top speed of 250 kmph and consumes 3.76 liters of diesel per 100 kilometers. It features an electric mode for day to day use that can be charged through plug-in module.

The vehicle stores the power it lithium polymer cells, allowing it to drive for roughly 50km on a single charge, which can be extended through its regenerative breaking system.

Still not salivating yet? This should do the trick!!

Honda RA-X is the latest concept sportscar inspired by the beginning of motorsport competition during the 60s and hence was named as RA similar with the first F1 cars in distinctive white and yellow colors. This two-seater concept car comprises MR engine and back transmission with a capacity of over 350 hp, while the position of the exhaust pipes positively reminds the RA300 F1.

The design features innovative smooth crossing lines in the surface that forms a theoretical X. The car’s engine can be seen through a glass and predominates at the back side of the engine vent with optical technology-led groups forming a triangular shape. The inlets are merged with optical groups on the front and the dimensions of the car are: length 4050 x height 1163 x 1940 Wide.

If you're wondering where's the part for mobile phone lovers, here it is:

Finnish handset giant Nokia gave the industry a glimpse of the future on Monday, when it unveiled a shape changing mobile devices concept based on nanotechnology.

Morph, a joint nanotechnology concept developed by Nokia Research Center and the University of Cambridge, has gone on display as part of the "Design and the Elastic Mind" exhibition at The Museum of Modern Art in New York.

The concept demonstrates how future mobile devices might be stretchable and flexible, allowing the user to transform the gadget into radically different shapes.
